available to you. Lake Blackshear is the largest recreation facility in Crisp County. It
is 8,700 acres of paradise for fishing, water skiing, and paddling pleasure,
Lake Blackshear offers many types of rewarding activities.
Each
year the lake is the site of national bass fishing tournaments that
bring participants from all over the nation.
The
tournaments are eagerly anticipated events that draw impressive crowds
to the shores of Lake Blackshear.Located adjacent to Lake Blackshear is Georgia Veterans Memorial State Park. The park which encompasses 1,322 acres also has recreation and leisure activities available. For leisure there are two park museums that include exhibits of American war artifacts. Displays of some of the most famous war machines that ever fought can be seen at these museums.
